Minecraft Clean Install, how to do?
« on: November 28, 2011, 05:39:11 AM »
Lets say I wanted to do a completely new clean re-install of Minecraft.  How would I go about it?

Thanks

When you launch Minecraft, instead of clicking 'Login' click 'Options'.

The Launcher Options screen should pop up. Click the Force Update button then click Done. Then you can login. It'll restore Minecraft to vanilla state.

Although if your having problems even after that its best to delete your bin folder, or your whole .minecraft folder in %appdata%
(Make sure to back up your saves and texture packs though!)
