PLAYABLE 64 BLOCK TALL VERSION FURTHER DOWN
This is the second and largest project of my "Castlecraft" installment that I have ben working on since June. Its 13.2 million blocks of epicness, exterior is finished, but still 70% empty on the inside, and I have no time to work on it anylonger. I might finish it in the future, who knows.

Anyways, it started with an idea to build an epic castle with alot of details, but my mind was drawing a blank. Then I saw a picture of the beautiful Schloss Marienburg, a Gothic revival castle in Lower Saxony, Germany (Thanks Wikipedia! lol). It has alot of details, so it was perfect.

I realised early on that its gona be in a large scale so I can get all the details and circles right.
(Currently 320W x 325L x 127H)

As of now I have probably seen every single picture and video of this castle there is on the internet. Due to several blindspots etc.
Due to the large scale you will feel very small and close to the floor, since its more meant for a 4-5 block high person, rather then the usual 2.
So pretend your a small child once you're exploring it.

I realised there might be alot of people who would like this castle for there singleplayer map or even multiplayer server, without a big deep hole. So I made a minimalistic version that have sacrificed the basement level and the main lookout tower along with the roofs of the 2 big round towers and the spire on the cathedral so that the entire schematic instead ends up at "247W x 304L x 64H", so that it can be placed just above waterlevel. Everything else is untouched.

Now for the main building/lookout-tower (the structure in the middle) I just threw together something quickly, but you could alternate the roof however you want or even remove the structure entirely.
An interesting fact is that the largest round tower use to look like this, and so did some other towers that dident have the pointy metal roofs, they where added mutch later.

About damn time! (kidding)

This looks simply stunning mate. Im glad you decided to finish it for the most part after overcoming the 'wall' you always encounter when on a large build. Sure it may be empty but since when do you actually use the interior of a huge strucutre? Rarely. Its mostly to do with exterior aesthetics.

Once again i give you my praise for sticking with it and making something that it just simply awesome. Bravo.

Thanks for all the praise and the achivements, and agreed Eeewan, it is bout time =)
Somehow I feel all the time spent on this is being justified by your praise alone.
And to answer your question RuvinRice, Castlecraft is simply what I call building Castles in Minecraft. Since I luve castles and posted two of em now.
Quite a step up from the second one I would say thou, lol, althou the first one is my own design. As this is obviously a model of a real castle.

This is just unbelievable! I live nearby and have visited the castle several times. Your replica is very detailed! Congrats, KimXi!

By the way: the castle is the residence of a prince with some strange behaviors, which is why we in Germany call him "Pippi-Prügel-Prinz". I will not translate, perhaps Google tells you the background ... XD

I was a bit skeptic of the size, even after placing it with MCEdit it didn't feel too big. Then I loaded onto my server and checked it out and wow... it is big, lol.

OK so it crashed my server and when it finally loaded it just make a big rectangle of grass with a mossy cobblestone wall WHY AND I CAN'T UNDO IT!
