Looking for graphic artist
« on: February 07, 2011, 06:43:04 AM »
Hello,

I am looking for a graphic artist to help me out with a small project.

I have added an award system to the website and need award graphics.

Attached is how the awards should look (the style, shape, size) and need a whole bunch of these made up in multiple colors and or design.

The award graphics that you create should not have any specific text on them, it should be the background only.  When ever I create new awards I will add the text to the image myself since it's unknown at this time what awards are actually going to be created.

If any talented artists in our community could help me out with this, I'd sure appreciate it.

Yes, that is the size that the awards should and general style (but of course there should be many in different colors)

I like the ideas of Featured Schematic and 10 Schematics, as for the graphic, the text is very hard to read to me.  Not sure what could be done about that without it making it look out of place.

Make the text only a little darker.

Here is the thing that I forgot to mention...

Award graphics can be two different graphics.

The one that i showed above as well as the one on my avatar is the small version, it is shown under the users avatar in posts that they make.  We can also have a large image to represent the award that people will see if somebody clicks on the award icon under the users avatar or if they check out that users profile (or the user checks his own profile).

I'm also toying with perhaps adding in smaller award graphics to show under the users avatar perhaps something in the size of 25x25 or 15x15 and when clicked will show the larger award which would be a different graphic all together.

All award images should be 'blocky' looking so that they fit in with the game in style I think.

I like the mod gear with text very much.  I think that 25x25 is an appropriate size to add as the mini award images (they'll need to be transparent backgrounds though, so that they don't stick out on the page), let me see if theres something I can do with the featured award image for the text.  Not sure if I can do anything, as I'm not that good but it's just not sticking out enough to me (the text)
