I couldn't find a church that I liked for my castle. I took my idea for this from KimXi Castle's Throne room. I liked the shape and style of the building. I changed the layout a bit, and expanded on it to convert it to a church.

Nice building only problem is that I think of a church as a building of grand proportion. I also notice the display of a christian cross, that's fine, but it is a very overused symbol.

EDIT 1: Grammatical fix changed "Thats" to "That's" on line 1.

The size was made to fit into the Castle I'm currently working on. I used the Cross to change up the glass a little bit, seemed better than more random shapes in the wall. Plus it makes an impressive backdrop to the pulpit, lol.

I don't really like the outside of the church, netherrack for the roof wouldn't be a thing I'd choose for one, but the interior of your church makes up a lot. I do like the inside a lot! I'd say the interior does really inspire me for my own church ;)

It was pretty much my first posted schematic. I'm busy working on a new project right now, but I may revisit this again at a later date to look at the exterior a little more.

I just finished building this, and it looks awesome! The red looks great above the brown roofs of my other buildings :D

Cool, glad you liked it. Eventually I'd like to work some more on these, but for now, I find myself playing on the MCschematics server all the time.

probably confusion between 'church'(normal) 'chapel'(tiny) and 'cathedral'(huge).

at any rate, IMHO a church/chapel/cathedral/basilica/Jasus'-house-of-pancakes without a "christian cross symbol" would look rather odd...
Unless he saw the church/chapel/Wendy's and recognized it as dating from the Byzantine Iconoclastic or Calvinist periods?
