Mod Edit - Awarded the Captain's award for an ship (water) schematic of excellence

I've been working on this long enough and now I will give it up. The majority of the ship is intact, but lacks the personal touches I expect everyone who uses it will add. Other than that the pictures speak for themselves. Comments and suggestions are always welcome :)

P.S. I recommend Moderncraft texture pack for this because of the look it gives glowstone (as seen in the pictures).

This is truly amazing!
The deck's design and the curvature is very impressive.
I think you managed to make the sails perfect too.

lots of downloads now, just wondering if anyone has put this in there world and made there own internal/external modifications. I would love to see some pics of improvement. Perhaps as simple as a new emblem on the sails or something like that.

I was going to make a video of this but I don't think you could get a video of decent length only showing the outside (because there is nothing in the interior)

As for improvement,

I would like to see some interior design included with the build, such as a kitchen, captain's quarters, brig, etc

I rarely do interiors as I think this is better done in game by the person who is going to use the space. This allows for customization, plus once I'm done with the exterior I normally get bored.

I'm going to be building this in my world (from scratch using the schematic as a blueprint - not a fan of just dropping things in) and I will likely be placing in some of my own changes :) For one, the colors irk me personally so I'll probably be changing the color scheme to maybe a more red/black...going to fool around in MCEdit and see what looks best to me. Then on the back end of the ship I think I'll build it up a bit, it seems flat to me where you could have a bit of a cabin. That and I'll place a proper helm in I think. And also add ladders up the central and rear mast to have access to those crows nests as well.

Figured I'd post some pics so far :) I got the hull done. The only thing I did with MCEdit was deepen the water below the boat, everything else was done in game on my multiplayer server. Deflooding the boat once I got the frame done was quite tedious!

We do have the ScubaKit mod though...so increased breath underwater, helped out immensely on the lower portions!

Going to have to collect more wood and a ton more wool (been collecting) to start building up the rest of the frame.

Those two blocks on the rear of the ship that have water in them...is it supposed to be like that? I opened the schematic in Structure Planner and followed it to a T...I might have to open the singleplayer mcedit world I have for designing to check it out...

I'll likely build most of the wood frame up and then start on the masts. I'll also need to start putting in some of the cloth for the upper decks too. This will probably take me a while but is fun so far to see it unfold!

As you'll notice I replaced the dark blue wool with pine wood for the base of the ship (I'm using the SilkCraft texturepack) and for the color variations, I am going to swap the dark blue for black wool, the light blue for red and the red in the back room is going to be yellow. It actually looks pretty decent!

Figured I'd post a picture of what I was talking about with the water also. I looked at it in MCEdit and they're there as well, in fact, I noticed the whole deck below the wood floor is still flooded >.< That explains why its closed off and not accessible lol. I'll make a modification, that's prime real estate! :P
