THE MONSTER-Tall man cannon, 256 TNT [>1000 block vertical/horizontal range]

This is my most powerful cannon to date.  It is a pain to load without hacks, though with flying, it is a breeze.  The schematic comes PRE-LOADED.  I am going to make a video of it firing, as it just cannot be explained in screenshots.  If enough people want me to, I can make an EVEN BIGGER version, from bedrock to sky limit.  It is perfectly calibrated, so the TNT all ignites at the exact same time.  Also, there is no chance to survive it without hacks.  As soon as that TNT detonates, the world turns blue for about 15 seconds.

Okay, I now have up the version with the "Charge," the TNT that it fires.  Also included is the "Clip" which lets you easily load the cannon with MCEdit.

Why?  Is your computer really bad or something?  Oh, and you can cut it down from the top for less power, just make sure there are torches at the top of the current elevator (torch obsidian, torch obsidian, torch, etc)

WOW, but don't make a bedrock to sky limit one, as i found out the top ones will explode before hitting the bottom so blows itself up the sky limit to bedrock fall time = longer than the TNT fuse

I know, I would make it from water level up to max level, and then it would work, though I would have to do A LOT of editing, and I like 256 as a number for some reason, its a power of 2.

I think this deserves to be featured and or electrician award.  Purely flipping amazing.  Maybe even a warrior if it pertains to cannons (not just seige tower mockups).

Lol no award for this one i feel, needs to be bigger/ more intricate for electrician. Needs to be massively huge to be featured . And needs to be massive or really helpful to win warrior. All awards basically are awarded if alot of time has gone into it.

Okay, I'll try to make it bigger/better, possibly make a castle with hidden ones.  Ill also try to make a specific space one, and one that fires lots of TNT to destroy a mountain.

It has absolutely nothing to do with it's size, you can make it 10 times bigger, it won't get an award that for because it would still just be a cannon like there are hundreds already.

What it needs for an award is originality, aesthetic, ingenious ideas. See, all that can be made with way smaller things. Cannons are simply not original at all. Most people don't know what aesthetic means and for the ingenious part.. every single kid has already made a cannon in MC for whatever reason.. I don't get what they are good for except slowing down your game.. :/


About the time spent. Some of my awards took me not more than a few hours to be made. Time spent is irrevelant.

Still, I didn't see anyone else calibrating a cannon, or being able to make one this large and still stable.  I'm still working on this anyway.

You know if you could find someway to use this to actually do something other than launch yourself 1000ft (lol =D) that would be cool. I am just thinking that maybe it could be used for something... Constructive? Idk for sure just a thought. Cool video though.

Oh and just thought i might draw a bit of attention to my 'original' cannon. Multi shot but stackable so you decide how many shot you want it to fire. Oh and BTW good work as always John

I have made an updated version with a charge that is automatically detonated, but I have not tested it fully.
