I believe there is a bug in the plugin or the forum software that when you do a full edit on the post it removes the video link, where as if you do an edit from the little icon in the post it doesn't do that.

Windows Live Movie Maker =.=' I never tried out any of those professional video editors. That one just seems ok so far for what I do with it. ^^

Great tutorial, I'm probably going to use it on a small server I'm setting up!
BTW: Does the creation of the 'gravel trees' usually take a looooong time (20-30 mins)?
Mine is taking 4ever, but then again I did try to gen 13 islands :mobsheep: , and I'm doing it on a laptop...
Anyways, GREAT tutorial.

Hey, I love this. but I'm going to ask a stupid question. :)
when i press "Create World" on the MCEdit menu screen, it gives me that small platform of bedrock. and it wont let me place blocks anywhere outside the bedrock square? How do you make that huge pit of sand? cause ive tried this kinda thing before, to no avail.

your tutorial series is probably the most useful (non redstone) tutorials in all of minecraft :)
Open our eyes to many new building opportunities that we never would of thought of by using innovative techniques provided by the simple tools of MCEdit... as always tyrne ty and much <3 from me :)

What id do is create a new world ingame then select a huge chunk and delete it :P or download one of the flat maps (i dont have the link sorry) The reason it wont let you place blocks outside the bedrock area is that it hasnt been generated yet.

Exactly. For myself, what I do is creating a map for my work using worldpainter :

Anyways, GREAT tutorial.

It is, in effect, very long. This is probably due to the fact that codewarrior (MCEdit autor) hasn't really had time to spend on that tool so far in order to improve it.

This tool, as you know, is called 'forester'. This is NOT made by codewarrior. It is a python script originally made by a guy called dudecon. Codewarrior implemented this script into mcedit in his latest versions.

This script, btw, was sold to Notch to improve vegetation generation in Minecraft.

I am using the python script. It has exactly the same functions, alot more and is ALOT faster. It takes like 2 minutes to generate a whole forest.

Here is a short tutorial I made for this tool :

Wow thats really cool Tyrne. I love to use mcedit a lot to create awesome worlds and this will really help boost their awesomeness :D. loving the tutorial series anyway, keep up the good work.

P.S. pig falls off an island at 11:26 :P
