help with hd texture packs

i i recently got glimmars steampunk texture pack and installed it using mcpatcher, a hd texture patcher, and it looks great. there is only one problem. I CANT FRIGGEN BREAK ANYTHING WITHOUT MY GAME FREEZING!!!!! i tried several different approaches like disableing the custom water but its not the same with out the water. with the water it freezes on breaking a block, without it works fine. any ideas of whats wrong?

Could be that you installed incorrectly, or your system is not good enough for the
texture pack in question.

Be sure to use the latest version of mcpatcher, minecraft and the texture pack. Try out another texture pack with the same sizes and check if the problem persits (or even try out a bigger one like LB Photorealism). Also, if you are using one or several mods, try to install the texture pack on a clean version of minecraft and check the result.

it isnt the size because i was running vackrains before and that worked fine but thats not working either now  [nerdrage]

You have to Unpatch for 16x16 to work as far as I know. It may also crash if you patch the wrong size.
