so im new to mcedit and i cant seem to open any of my worlds on it. i press o and then open the level.dat and then this appears. how can i get my saves to show up on mcedit any suggestions???

On Second glance you have to be using a old version of MCedit, try updating over here

i dont know wot version of mcedit im using im pretty sure its the latest one, i downloaded it from Minecraft Forums. my minecraft is beta 1.3_01

It tells you the version on startup.
Pic for example.

(Pictured is Alpha94 - 2 versions before the current version hence the update box)

You have a very old MCedit version by the looks of it. Update.
