Builder Award Winner: Asian Style Wall, Tower and Gate Set

Ok time to publish my 1st schematics related to the Tatsuyama project. See main thread here http://www.mcschematics.com/index.php?topic=2324.0.

Texture pack is my own custom one based on Borderlands 128x128 that I'll release at a later date.

This is a modular wall, tower and gate set. 1st gate is complete, 3 or 4 more to follow, and will be added here when done.

The wall and tower schematics come as follows:

1) Towers on their own
2) Towers with 1 exit (using these at the limits of my borders where the walls meet the ocean) - rotate as per needs.
3) Towers with 2 exits - L shape, again rotate as per needs.
4) Towers with 2 exits - straight, to break up long straight sections of wall.
5) 3 block wide repeatable wall sections - Which can be cloned ideally in straight lines, but also fairly effectively in a sloping diagonal (i.e. not 45 degrees, but around 15 degrees, or 1 block up/down every 3 setps, you'll see what I mean in the screen shots i hope.

Gates are designed to integrate seamlessly into the walls and come as follows:

1) Martyr's Gate - Based on the gate by that name in Taiwan (see http://www.flickr.com/photos/striderv/4563310778/), has a red side and a blue side - 25W 115L 55H
2) Gate of Earth and Moon - Based on various gates. Don't have dimensions to hand atm.
3) Dragonspine Gate - Inspired by Thai Temple Architecture - 32W 68L 52H
4) Forest Gate - 35W 52L 63H - Not particularly Asian, more suited to Ewok's

One rar will be more trouble than it is worth at this point, in my opinion.

great work :) one thing that would be good thought would to have maybe 2 or 3 different looking walls and towers but that still blend in nice, and also maybe include a diagonal section of wall so its easier for people instead of cloning the wall piece and doing it themselves they could just clone say maybe a 10 block section diagonal, but it is very great, cant wait for the tp either :)

 It's easy enough just to change sandstone to cobble, or clone a few sections or tweak the design to your liking. I'm all for sharing, but I'm not going to spend hours designing stuff just to spoon feed people everything they could possibly want. They can have what I need, but they can put in some effort themselves as well.

Just my opinion, the diagonal wall section is a fair point i guess. Might add that in later.

 It's easy enough just to change sandstone to cobble, or clone a few sections or tweak the design to your liking. lol im not saying you need those or this is creeper without them, i honestly love what you have mad, i was just trying to think of what could be better so i could well leave something more then nice job, and i do agree with you, and the diagonal thing was the only thing i would really like to see changed, but really great job on this i love it

As requested, adding a 30 long diagonal wall slice.

See below pictures of newly finished gate. Calling it the Gate of Earth and Moon, will update schematics set with it. Inspiration from various Asian City gates, not one in particular.

This one is currently attached to 2 towers, one with a single exit, one with and L shaped exit. You can clamp it onto other tower exits if you wish, but it will take a little fiddling around.

New gate, blah blah, you know the drill. Calling this one Dragonspine gate. This time much more inspired by Thai temples.

This one kicked my arse. Took way too long, might not look it, but took the longest of them all so far, partly because I had no particular reference image at all this time, partly cos I really struggled to get it to merge effectively with the wall.

Reasonably happy with it, but not 100%. Tell me what you think, are the roof colorings right? The back unintentionally ended up looking a bit like a skull, maybe a good thing, I dunno.

Schematic does not include the towers in this case, just the gate and joining bits.

Dimensions are 32W, 68L, 52H.
