Taking Pictures/ uploading Tutorial

(city builder i wasn't sure where you may want this)

Hey for all those out there unsure on how to upload or make pictures of your schematic this topic is for you. I'll have screen shots at the bottom.

Step one: Use either MC Edit or another viewing program even minecraft itself and find the angle you want. press print screen on the top right of your key board generally above insert and delete key.

Step two: open paint, typically found under accessories.

Step three (profit): you the go to the top next to file and click Edit -> Paste or likewise press control + V at the same time for anyone who like shortcuts.

Step four "uploading" : name a topic in the appropriate section when your done with your description  look under the post box see attachments and other options. Click this and options pop down.

Step five "uploading":  now where it says attach go to browse and find your picture. paint generally saves to you pictures. you can also add more (up to a max per 8 per post) by hitting more attachments (see pic "STEP 5)

when you all don with that press post and see your completed post with pictures attached. hope anyone who need this finds it helpful.

If you're takin pics straight form Minecraft, just press F1+F2 and a screenshot gets saved into your Appdata folder.
(If you don't know where that is, type %appdata% into Windows Explorer and it will redirect you.)

EDIT: With the release of Beta 1.2, you no longer need to hold down F1, you can simply press F2. You do need to hold down F1 if you don't want the HUD to be included.

If you're on a mac and you would like to take a screenshot of your creations, i would suggest opening Preview in the background and using the keyboard shortcut: Command + Shift + 3.

I normally take the shots with F2 and then rename and resave as *.jpg. The png files are just too big.

For Windows user, you might have to press 'fn' + 'prt sc' at the same time. 'Fn' is next to the Left Control button. Printscreen will then copied in clipboard. For further instructions, read Josephs first post.
