Image To schematic converter
« on: March 08, 2011, 06:39:43 PM »
Okay
So I know that this program is out there because
#1
I have found the source code
#2
Its not in binary form
#3
I have no idea how to convert it into binary

So is someone willing to give me the name of an alternate program
Or.
is someone willing to just fork over there already-put-together program?
Please?

Respectfully,
Screwfish

You could always install "cygwin" on Windows, it's a Linux-like environment for Windows making it possible to port software running on POSIX systems (such as Linux, BSD, and Unix systems) to Windows.

Look into it: www.cygwin.com/

Lodor uses a different but very ingenious technique that I am bound to not repeat.
And when I say ingenious. I mean. Everyone shall be slamming there foreheads against there kehboards in a blasphemous fit that shall make you feel superficial.

Haha you just made my day! But sure, I'll write a tutorial later today. Keep in mind that you MUST have Photoshop CS3, 4, or 5 installed. I use more than one program and the method is NOT easy!

Well I may have done it the hard way, but it works. I opened up a Classic server using McForge server software because it has some pretty wicked image making techniques. Then McEdit lets you go into the .lvl file and make a schematic ready for import into Beta! haha well here is an example of what I did using it:

http://www.mcschematics.com/index.php/topic,1288.msg7162.html#msg7162

Also, when I do normal pixel art, I also use photoshop to index and pixelize the colors for easy minecraft work as shown in this post: http://www.mcschematics.com/index.php/topic,1123.msg6151.html#msg6151

but I am pretty interested to see Lodorenos' technique!
