Havoc Island - previously the Island Fortress
« on: October 13, 2012, 05:12:17 AM »
THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN STOPPED BUT NEW SMALLER PROJECTS ARE BEING STARTED

This is a build i started a few days a go and I'm planning on making it gradually with the advice of others. i will keep updating it on this forum and will take advice and answer questions about it.

This has got to be the biggest build i have ever done and could probably be one of the biggest on this site once it is done. The island with the sea around it comes to 1280x1280 blocks (HUGE). I plan on making different districts and different areas on the island. There will be plenty of hidden secrets and maybe empty areas for you to build what you want.

Planned Areas

Castle
Gardens District (Arena, Cathedral, Graveyard etc)
Docks
Hunting Grounds
Quarry and Mines
Village
Sacred land
Wilderness

Planned Individual Buildings
Houses
Carpenter
Apothecary
Blacksmith
Bakery
Warehouse
Textiles and dyes
Market
Tavern
Inn
Mercenaries Guild
Hunters Guild
Miners Guild
Thieves Guild (Secret)
Assassins Guild (Secret)
Gallows and Court House
Guard House
Armory
Stables
Higher Residences
Mages Tower
Cathedral
Arena
Castle
Crypt
Prison

Thanks to Amarok for the building list help.

At the moment id say it is about 10% complete.

The island is now being put onto a server where BossModeON will be helping with the rest of the build.

The island was actually created using WorldPainter (Link to topic on it: http://www.mcschematics.com/index.php?topic=14112.msg90851#msg90851).

The texture pack i use is JohnSmith.

Leave a comment and tell what you think.

I'd love to help, if you can get this on a server. To see my expertise, check the link on the bottom of this post.

I specialize in Redstone and complex circuitry, and I am also pretty creative.

How do you suggest I help if it isn't on a server? I just posted an extremely small clock with 200 repeaters that last for 35 mins :D

Well im working on that, im thinking that if i ask people for certain things to be made, they can make them and then send them to me and then i incorporate it into the map.

I can see how you might think that, but for Redstone related things that will not work. If you download my city map and look at all the redstone in the hotel, things can get very cramped. Also, what if someone makes something and you want to add Redstone to it? I think it would be better if we got a server.

1) We could get people to help, and thus finish faster.

2) I could integrate Redstone into everything.

Ok so now we just need to find someone who will be willing to host a whitelisted server for us and a few others, i can tell each person what he/she needs to do and i manage it all as well as build stuff too.

The mages tower/ prison is now done. It isn't furnished yet but the exterior is all done. There is two entrances/exits, one (from the mages part) leads to the garden district and the other (prison) to what is going to be the gallows and courthouse.

Are you getting a server so I can help you with it? I've been cranking out projects lately, I'm still happy to help.
