This is my first schematic, please take it easy on me:-)
I've created (what i think) is the perfect starter base, it includes chest store room, solid block store room (diamond/iron/gold are 6 deep by 4 wide) and on the roof is a tree farm and a reed/wheat farm to. There is also a few items in the chests to help you out in your new world.

I doubt any base, especially a starter one, would have that much Diamond in it....
