Ladies and gentlemen,

I bring to you one of my little habits. In the past, I have tried to build a town / city, neatly spread out with dedicated areas for wheat, melons, sugar cane, and animal enclosures. The only problem was that in Flatland I set it all out perfectly, but I could never find a large enough flat area to plant it. I always had to re sculpt a hill, or make an ugly mound to make a flat area.

Then I had a flash of inspiration while on a trip to Japan. Don't build out, build UP! So I condensed the vitals of that one needs to thrive and made it into a tower! Best part is that it only has an 18x18 footprint. Here's the run down (or run up):

Ground Level / Lobby: Empty (with Yin/Yang). Can't think of anything to put here, but thought the new carpet looks nice.
Level 1: Wheat Farm (I usually use either bread or cookies for hunger).
Level 2: Farms for Melons, Pumpkins (future golems or Jack-o-Lanterns), Sugar Cane and Cocoa.
Level 3: Storage Area, Enchanting Table, Brewing Stands, Nether Wart Farm and Cobblestone Generator (some people say they're outdated, but I like having one around).
Level 4: Beds, storage for valuables (diamonds, emeralds, etc), Music Box, Ender Chest and a Lava Incinerator.
Roof: Patches of grass for growing trees (the 2x2 in the middle is for Jungle Trees).

I tend to build these bit by bit when I get the materials (usually from mining efforts while living in a cave). I also build them to suit the area where they are:
- Stone/Cobblestone and Stone/Stone Brick for normal areas (plains, forests, etc).
- Sandstone for deserts.
- Snow for Taigas (also because I can make a Snow Golem and get unlimited Snow Balls to build faster).

So give it a whirl, let me know what you think!  :flowerred:

Looks nice! Great idea to make a house in that kind of tower. I'm going to build one by myself, so thanks for the idea! 4/5 stars for you :)
