Since MCEdit isn't updated anymore, I don't know any method to use .schematic files. How to use them?

I've downloaded from both mcedit website and this one you mentioned. Both 64 and 32 bit. Every time I open the .exe file a log window pops up for a split second and then disappears. After clicking multiple times I can barely make out that something failed.

Are you running it from the ZIP/RAR? If so, try running it outside of the archive, and can you run it as Administrator at all?

That window that pops up is normally what runs the whole process of MCedit.
If you still can't get it to work, you could possibly try the WorldEdit plugin instead.

Not sure I can be of much help, I use an older version of MCedit due to later versions depending on higher grade graphic cards.
