Thanks Tatzlwurm. I will let you know when i am ready to try the gate. A schematic will be great, then i will study and implement it from there. I will mention you in my build credits for the gate. Right now the castle is playing hawock with my mind and I'm constantly redesigning and adding to it as i go on.

Yeah NP, its not a design i want to actively hand out yet so if you want it PM me your email and ill send it to you. Its a bit complex since it uses pistons to actively push up 3 total blocks and lower them with a lever, can use a button with a T-flip but right now its lever action.

Update.
Building will have to halt for a while as my stone and dirt ran out, so its back to mining and baking cobble stone for the next view days.

Here is a overview of the build as it stands now. The walls are at a nice height compared to each other( sections of the castle). Will have to figure out how to  create my square towers.

Thanks, but you will have to wait a bit. Have had an idea of raising the castle( to add clift and moat) a bit up so for now i will dig down and then when all has been done use mcedit to lift it so sea level.

Ha ha ha.... only if you are suicidal.

Lol.

I love the castle so far! Absolutely amazing! Just kidding, I don't want to under exaggerate! :P It's near perfect!

Edit: I liked it more when it was built into the little hillside, and not built on top of flattened ground! :(

Update time..........

Ton of sand to get rid off. Used up my 11 blocks of TNT donated by creepers and ghasts. I removed all sand when i build on a sand area.

Ton of sand gone... add a ton of dirt. End result.

A corner in the back of build. Moat and small dam on the left. Housing area on the right.

Front right of build.

Build entrance. If you thought i was nuts, here is proof. I had a late idea to lift the castle up higher, so i am going down. I will use mcedit to get it out of the hole I'm digging and place on level 64 of new map.
What you see is a stair case going up 24 levels. Yes i now have to dig all around my build to level 40 just because of that.

If there is any questions or something looks wrong please ask or tell as it might be something i am missing or can clarify.
It also shows me there is interrest in my build.

Do you do this on a server, so that less architecturally skilled minions can gather stone and such for you? Or do you like both gathering and building to such an extent that you do both yourself?

I am all alone on this. There are times i wish i had someone to help digging.
