Rollercoaster collab Project (ACCEPTING ROLLERCOASTERS)
« on: August 03, 2012, 08:25:47 PM »
Are you a good rollercoaster builder? Would you want your map to be included on a server with many other people on it? Well now you can! All you have to do is build some type of theme park ride by following the rules below:

HOW TO BUILD THE ROLLERCOASTER:

1. The rollercoaster tracks must be three wide and has to be made of THREE different blocks. First being the middle block, second being outside blocks, and the third for stilts (If you choose to add stilts.) Make sure to add rails in the middle block too.
Still confusing, here's a little diagram I whipped up in a couple seconds!

Spoiler
:cloth1black: = Block 1
:cloth12violet: = Block 2
:cloth13purple: = Block 3

Top of track:
 :cloth12violet: :cloth1black: :cloth12violet:
 :cloth12violet: :cloth1black: :cloth12violet:
 :cloth12violet: :cloth1black: :cloth12violet:

Side of track
        :cloth12violet:
  :cloth12violet:

2. For the entrance/exit pathways, Take two blocks from before and one of the thinner blocks (Glass pane, Fences, Etc.). Just like the tracks, put the two normal blocks in the same fashion. On the outer blocks, you want to put in the thinner block. You may either go one high, or if you want to, make it two high and add a ceiling of any other block(s) of your choice.

3. For making the entrance/exit, start with a 3*3 wood block, and make a 2*1 hole all the way out the other side. For your roof, take the three blocks you chose before, and build the roof as so.

:cloth1black: = Block 1
:cloth12violet: = Block 2
:cloth13purple: = Block 3
 :cloth12violet: :cloth13purple: :cloth12violet:
 :cloth13purple: :cloth1black: :cloth13purple:
 :cloth12violet: :cloth13purple: :cloth12violet:
For the entrance, make sure the middle block sticks up one higher than the rest.

At the end of the rollercoaster, please add a cactus so that the Minecart gets destroyed. The design goes as follows:

Spoiler
:cloth1black: = Rails
 :cobblestone: = Cactus

 :glass:

 :cobblestone:      :cloth1black:
 :sand:
5. In the front of the entrance line, make sure to add a sign with this format:

[COASTERNAME]
By:
[YOURNAME]

THE RULES:

1. Do not make it too big. I recommend a small sized coaster to get in. If you're trying to make a coaster that is in the shape in a thin line, I will most likely accept. I will not be making a size minimum/maximum because I wanna see what you guys can do.

2. If you would like to include something other than a rollercoaster (Water Rollercoasters, small rides, etc.), please PM me and I will give you some ground rules.

3. Don't send in Scenery UNLESS it is used in your ride. I will not be using or needing any at all times.

4. Don't send in ANYTHING that doesn't have to do with Amusement park rides. (See rule 2 for acceptions)

5. Please PM me your schematic. Do not put it in the comments for it will be ignored.

6. Have a ton of fun making your Rollercoasters!

If you're confused on how to build the coaster, you may have a sample rollercoaster showing what it should look like. If you do download it because you didn't understand the building instructions or the rules, pay close attention.

If you're wondering the easiest format to go with, the theme of the Amusement Park is the game Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. Making a rollercoaster theme off of that will bring a smile on my face and I will probably really love the entry and you (no homo) for building it and I will most likely add it

Good luck and have a great time building!
