Make sure you put the schematic you want to import in the schematic folder word edit makes, then try something like /schematic load <name>. It might paste immediatly or it will be on your clipboard, when it is on your clipboard just do /paste, this is the way it should work. Ask if there are any problems!
So in short:
1. Put your schematic in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\schematics
2. go to the server and do /schematic load <schematicname>
3. //paste and voila

I think it is required you have it in sp, or you make the folder on the location I editted (C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\schematics

have you tried loading it without stating the format? Perhaps that isnt necassery with importing

I tried it in sp, and it worked like a charm just do //schematic load rollercoaster, then all you have to do is //paste

well there are 2 different schematic formats, the very old ones were called .schematic and the new ones mcedit, perhaps try schematic (with or without dot not sure). If that doesnt work I'm afraid I cant really help

Good luck trying to work it out, sorry that I can't help you anymore, I'm not quite sure how the servers deal with worldedit.

You have to put .schematics files in /plugins/worldedit/schematics/ folder on the server you need access to the server, send it to you friend first and load it with //schem load mcedit schematic_name (without the .schematic extention), finally paste it with //paste
