Ruined Jungle Castle
« on: June 30, 2012, 02:33:18 PM »
This is as the name say the ruin of a castle in a jungle. This is my first attempt at converting a building into what i hope a proper ruin.
NOTE... this is a very dangerous ruin to enter so be sure you are well protected.

Updated to V2.
Added craked stone and moss stone to the building to make it a bit more realistic. (lost 89 downloads in update, but a better schematic is more importent for me.)

Very cool, although I would recommend replacing some (like fifteen percent) of the stone bricks to be mossy stone bricks, so it looks like the building itself is mossy, not just the things growing on it. Also maybe add in some cracked stone bricks every once and a while to make it look (even) more ruined. Looks awesome! Just one last thing: how is it very dangerous? Any traps? >:)

That's what I thought. Hopefully not creepers, I don't want this place to get destroyed! XD

Sorry to say, but while i was working in there in creative there was a few of them spawning as well. I do not have mob generators inside so if you play in peacefull you will have no trouble.
There is lots of places to get ambushed from.

I really like it, its pretty big but I still have it loaded with the Ruins mod to generate rarely in Jungle biomes. The mossy/cracked brock and stone really add to the "ruins" look. Awesome build bud  :diamond:  :diamond:  :diamond:

Wouldn't it be cool of we could chose how much of a selected area was replaced/filed in MCedit? So as you said you could select the whole structure and then select cobblestone(or whatever was the original main building block) then select replace with mossy cobblestone and then select 15% random. So it would randomly make 15%(rounded) of the cobblestone blocks into mossy cobblestone. It would make for really random looking creations(cos they are random!).

Really cool schematic. I'm looking forward to placing it my world.

I like to do things like that by hand though, but that does sound really, really cool!
