I think you misinterpreted the meaning of McSchematics.
This wonderfull site is meant for sharing, not for showing off.
I really thank you for your uploads so far, but asking for likes on the video
to share the schematic on this website is a bit queer.
Basically you're advertising your youtube channel, which is against the rules, indirectly though. why? let me explain.

To eventually get this schematic posted on this community, it's members have to go watch, or like, your video. this indirectly advertises your channel/builds, which is against the rules. Obviously there's nothing wrong with just posting a video, but saying that you HAVE to see it before getting the schematic... i repeat, that's a bit queer.

Thanks for however still posting your schematic after reconsidering what i said, i appreciate that alot :). i hope you'll make wonderful builds in the future!

I agree with Nero, it's my understanding that we are trying to foster an open community of Minecraft builders that freely and actively share their creations. I think your builds are cool, but to be honest, simply by the virtue of putting contingencies on the number of views and likes it makes me not want to download the schematic if & when it's posted. There are way too many other awesome schematics being openly shared on this site.

I disagree with you guys becaus i think a builder should be allowed to pull a few vieuws and likes before posting the download to build up a name for himself. besides its just like putting a adfly schematic download link wich is pathetic. the builder spends hours on the building and can't even use adfly to get a bit of cash for himsel, the downloaders won't have to pay anything as they can download it for free. besides there are way to much guys that just don't care about others buildings and leech of this community. but that is just my opinion.

I advertise my youtube channel here but on youtube I advertise MC schematics and make people intrested in it.It's a win win situation.

Mate, forcing someone to look on your channel to recieve your schematic is not advertising. However just placing the video and including the schematic is advertising and is allowed, more than that, we love videos on here :)

its not forcing, they don't have to if they dont want to. but if some are interested in it and they do want to have this schematic how hard would it be to just go to a yt channel? i think they wouldnt even mind going to some ones yt channel and thumbsup its just 2 button clicks.

But the main purpose of this website and community is to share your creations in Minecraft, not to dangle them like a carrot until a certain number of people jump through the proper hoops to be able to access them. A better way to do this would be to post in show & tell and run a poll to see if there is interest enough to post the schematic. It may be only two clicks but it's still forcing folks to go to another site to be able to access what is on this site if they want to d/l the schematic. It's not in the spirit of this community.

What if he puts the download link in the Youtube description? It would guarantee views, but people would only like the video if they chose to. That would be a win win according the rules and for the builder from what I'm seeing.
