How to install mods on a Mac

Well, the title says it all-nothing to explain, so let's get right to the tutorial! (It's very similar to installing mods on a PC-just the folders have different names! [e.g Mac folder is called "minecraft" while PC calls it ".minecraft" and the Mac folder is Application Support, while the PC folder is %appdata%,] )   


Step one-(you should have ModLoader downloaded first!) Go to Finder, then click on [Your Username-e.g. for me it would be "Andrew"]. Now click on Library. Once you've opened this folder click on Application Support and then (duh!) the "minecraft" folder. Once opened go to the "bin" folder (A folder inside of a folder?! INCEPTION! Lulz...).

Step two-now that you're inside of the "bin" folder you should see a .jar file called "minecraft.jar." Right click on this and click "compress." Now that it's [minecraft.jar] compressed,  you should now have a .zip file of it. Drag minecraft.jar to the desktop, or to a different folder, anywhere but the bin folder! Now that you've done this, double click on the .zip file to unzip it-delete the .zip afterwords! Now you should have a freshly unzipped folder which you need to rename "minecraft.jar" Finder will probally ask if you're "sure" that you want to use a .jar extension, and click YES, I want to use that extension. Now you should have a folder equivalent of the original minecraft.jar. Go into the minecraft.jar FOLDER and delete META-INF (press "M" on your keyboard to skip down to the M's). Now that you have deleted META-INF, simply drag the ModLoader files into minecraft.jar and if it asks if you want to replace some files, click YES! Now you have ModLoader (Now that wasn't so hard, was it?) Now drag the mod files into the minecraft.jar folder, unless you're supposed to put them in the "mods" folder-I'll go over that in another tutorial! So, for now enjoy being able to get mods on your Mac, such as TooManyItems.

I have no freaking idea, lol....you install mods the same way on all Macs, btw (unless their from the 80's or something, lawl!).

How do you not know your OS that's like saying I don't know which version of windows I have :O smh lol I heard on OS lion its a little different because of all the stuff they added on but it shouldn't be that much different from what I heard its like a couple folders or 2 change

Alternatively you can use minecrafter, works like a charm lets you see compatibility issues on mods, priority lists, small and lightweight, and the best of all is that you dont permanently change the jar file so its always like a fresh mc instal
