Hello everyone!


topic update

one year after i started the post the download counter went way beyond 1500 (1600+) and much farther beyond what i ever expected. ive put any update to a hold (together with a CTM map) because, after atleast 2000hrs of minecraft, the fun is kinda running out, none the less am i waiting for the going out of dev (prob 1.5) so i can work on my CTM, it will have an area dedicated to this castle and i will post a link to the post i post the map on (lot of post). Anyway, alot of thanks to everyone who downloaded the schematic, and i hope for those who are new to my castle and creations that they will enjoy them :) I am really proud of this castle and what it achieved.

!!!!UPDATE!!!!

Updated to v1.3 ;D added an Airship and the "Barad Galad", (Elvish* for: The tower of light), a lighthouse.
you can download the schematic with or without the new airship (depending on how much room you have and wether you like it or not) and i added a sign with the name of the Castle :) And i removed the gate house (the thing that was floating in front of the castle)


This is my last project and my first post to MCscematics, its a flying caste ive been working on for the past few weeks now


if you want to use it in your custom map, go ahead but give me credits, if you post the map on the MC forums also credit "Gabbjuh" because thats my MCforum name :)

I love the floating island concepts.  There's something about the bottom of the islands like how you designed it with all the trailing rocks under neath it that visually stimulates my brain I guess.

I make my islands with a confidential technique, a certain person told me how to make good islands because i made an islad for him... if you can assure me the technique doesnt leak out i can it to you... but it still is confidential and i want to keep it that way as much as possible...

That's okay.

There are many ways to make these islands, some perfectly acceptable, for example creating giant trees made out of gravel in mcedit, then smack them and all the gravel will fall to the ground making mountains (looks like your island turned upside down), then turn all that mountain of gravel to stone (again, we are in mcedit), and select your mount in mcedit, and turn it upside down  so now all those blocks that are hanging under your island, are now hanging under it, then simply build up the now  top side of the stone upside down mountain .

You see the tree made of gravel when you break it, all falls to the ground and makes very non uniform blocks hanging down like the image of Winny's floating island, only it looks like if you took Winny's floating island and flipped it upside down, so when you do actually flip this gravel mountain upside down, it looks just like Winny's floating island.

When you're done, you have a beautiful floating island.

If anybody is all that interested they can find better instructions over on youtube on this method simply by searching for Minecraft tutorial to make floating islands.  You can probably find written tutorials on this method as well by searching google for the same just in case one can't watch videos for some odd reason.

Youtube is great for sharing information.
