Rugged Cathedral
« on: December 23, 2011, 04:27:48 PM »
Hey guy's,

This is a project that I've been working on for a while. It's supposed to seem rugged, or as if it was built by vikings, it goes very well in snowy biomes. Just a tip! I was inspired to make something vikingish after watching FyreUK's timelapse of the Great Nordic Hall, so all inspirational credit goes to them! I hope you enjoy. I'll post more pictures of the inside soon. Leave comments, and Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

**EDIT**
New Schematic! Changed the red wool to green and added a rainbow with the pot o' gold at the end for St. Patrick's day.

I like that you have it in snow, it makes it look better. I am not sure I like the red blocks you used in the front though. I think either iron or gold blocks might look better. Sometimes the texture pack makes all the difference.

Going to D/L it and have a better look.

Merry Christmas!

Yeah, i know what you mean. Was using the John Smith texture pack, so there wasnt much to choose from the keep the rugged feel.

It looks nicer in game.

I do have one real critique. It is too high. I put it at level 63 and it still hit the ceiling and cut the cross off.

Thanks to 1.2.3, the cross on the very top doesnt get cut off any more!! Anvil did wonders to where this can be put, especially if its in the middle of a historic downtown part of somebody's city!

Almost have 100 DL's. I know thats not much, buts it feels great too me!
